The Socialists and Democrats Group in the European Parliament is organizing a seminar “Social Democratic Agenda for the Digital Union.”
The central theme of the seminar followed by workshops is “How to use the opportunities of The Digital Union in order to fight social and regional inequalities?”. The workshops are going to concentrate on four aspects of the Digital Union:
• developing new opportunities for the small businesses and workers in the less developed regions;
• provision of the new inclusive cross-border services;
• developing skills and raising cultural readiness for digital innovations;
• and enhancing democratic participation.
The S&D Maltese delegation in the European parliament is looking for an independent expert to participate at the seminar and to present Maltese best practices in digital fields such as e-health, e-commerce, e-democracy.
All expenses – flights and 2 nights hotel stay – will be paid.

The seminar will take place on Thursday, 28 January in the European Parliament in Brussels.
